The European Parliament Model is an initiative promoted by the Association “ReS Politica” and open to all European Universities.
This edition saw a lot of news: we are happy to announce Professor Mario Zucconi, Princeton University, who lectured about the European Union Enlargement to Turkey, and created with us a European Parliament Expert Hearing.
We had also the pleasure to introduce Professor Luigi Vittorio Majocchi (Universiy of Pavia, Member of the European Federalist Movement), Justina Vitkauskaite (Parliamentary Assistant and Secretary general of Young Democrats for Europe), Pietro Emili (European Citizen Action Service in Brussels), Professor Maira Do Ceu Pinto (University of Minho-Braga in Portugal), Paolo Bartolizzi (European deputy, EPP party) and Professor Mario Zucconi (Princeton University). With this round table “In the 60° anniversary of the Schuman Declaration: Quo vadis Europa?”, we celebrated the Europe Day, debating about the role and the future of the European Union.
We organized:
- sessions of six parliamentary committees: AFET, CULT, ECON, ENVI, FEMM, LIBE
- Political groups: EPP, S&D, ALDE, Greens-EFA, GUE-NGL, EFD.
- The plenary session
- A meeting with some European deputies, EU Institution Administrators and lobbyist
